“I am delighted to share with you an adventure that is close to my heart. In collaboration with Arthur Gerbi, artistic director of Merci, we designed 'PACIFIQUE', a celebration of the American West Coast, right here in the heart of Paris. It is our shared love for this region, rich in energy and creativity, that inspired us to create this unique event at MERCI in January and February 2024. Imagine an installation under the glass roof of MERCI, where 50 silver prints of our road trips on the Pacific coast will be exhibited for the first time. We will also include an eclectic selection of music, videos and perfumes evoking iconic places in this fascinating region. Exclusive previews will be available, including the Lola James Harper 'The Venice Beach Basketball Courts' candle, the 'HOOPTIME' photo-book which accompanies my new film, and a brand new room fragrance Merci / Lola James Harper. Our intention? Create a joyful and inspiring stroll, through music, perfumes, images and this energy directly imported from the Pacific coast...a ray of sunny sunshine in the middle of Parisian winter. The PACIFIQUE exhibition is not just a title, it is a state of mind, a word that evokes peace, gentleness and a touch of magic.
